The Office: Sabre Review

Here's the review for "Sabre"


The current season of The Office appears to be trying to drive home a message, and it is this: we all have a little bit of Michael Scott in us. All of us, or at least every character on the show, has the capacity to act like a childish, selfish, absurd, time-wasting dolt who still somehow means well in the end.


This underlying message first became apparent when Jim, the show's everyman, got his promotion and began slowly morphing into Michael's taller doppelganger. It's apparent in Pam's pregnancy, which, in addition to many other things (like Michael dating her mom) has over the course of this season unsurprisingly pushed her from one extreme emotion to the next. January 22, 2010 - The Office can now go down in the television history books right next to some of the greatest and longest running shows of all time, not necessarily because of any artistic or comedic achievement per se, but because it has now officially been around long enough to fill an episode with clips of past exploits. Kathy Bates and Jim and Pam

Kathy Bates, as you may know, is guest starring on The Office starting with the episode, Sabre on February 4, 2010. Meanwhile, Jim and Pam will have to deal with their impending baby, which will cause a two part episode to air. It will air after the NBC Winter Olympics on March 4th and March 11th.

Steve Carell and The Office were both nominated for a Golden Globe Award. Ricky Gervais, of The Office UK will host the award ceremony on January 17. The Office continues to be nominated for awards, as does Steve Carell, who won the award previously.
