"Things Are Getting Tense" is the seventh episode of the webisode series The Office: The Accountants. It was written by Paul Lieberstein and Michael Schur and directed by Randall Einhorn. It aired on NBC.com on August 17, 2006.

Looking over the books, Oscar finds $2,800 returned to petty cash that he forgot to sign in. Kevin explains that that he borrowed the money from petty cash, lost it, but won it back betting on basketball. He returns the missing money and notes that it is unrelated to the missing $3,000.
Angela is furious that Kevin gambled petty cash and suspects that he did indeed take the other $3,000. Kevin, in turn, points out Angela's new necklace, which she explains is a gift from "a friend", but the name she makes up for that friend is hardly convincing.
Kevin realizes that the accounts are turning on each other, "exactly what they want us to do." Angela concludes that they must take the step of investigating Michael.
