The Accountants title

The Office: The Accountants is the first series of webisodes based on characters from The Office. It began on July 13, 2006, on NBC.com. It consisted of 10 episodes, making it the longest series of webisodes to date.

The webisodes appear as special features on the Season 2 DVD.

Season overview[]

The accounting department (comprised of Angela, Oscar and Kevin) has discovered that there is $3000 missing from the company money. Everybody is a suspect as the three accountants investigate the mystery and interrogate their co-workers. Egos clash and accusations arise in this atypical whodunit.

Behind the scenes[]

  • The Accountants was a completely volunteer effort. The writers, cast, and crew volunteered their time to create the episodes. The scenes were shot on set between other scenes. Despite having no budget, the series won an Emmy for "Outstanding Broadband Program - Comedy".
