Conan's talking head during the opening segment of the 58th Annual Primetime Emmys
For the opening segment of the 58th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards in September 2006, Emmy host Conan O'Brien was inserted into popular television programs, including Lost, 24, House, South Park, To Catch a Predator, and of course, The Office.
His segment featuring The Office is included on the Season 3 DVD.
Synopsis[]
Conan O'Brien exits the set of Lost through a hatch in the ground and drops into the office from an open ceiling vent, landing on Dwight's desk. Dwight accuses Jim of engineering another prank, but Jim calmly denies it. Conan asks how to get to the Emmy's, and Michael proudly replies, "Practice." Conan glances to the receptionist desk, and Pam rolls her eyes at him. The two exchange meaningful glances.
In a talking head interview, Conan says that he finds Pam attractive. "If I didn't have an award show to host, I can easily see having two or three seasons of will-they-won't-they sexual tension that ultimately goes nowhere."
After Conan rushes out the front door, Michael explains his joke. "Because you can't get anywhere without practice."
