Andy, we are at a crossroads here. And we can either give in to what people are saying that we’re not good together. Or, we can prove them wrong. Let’s prove them wrong.

Andy first became interested in Angela at the Dunder Mifflin Infinity Website launch party. When Angela had an outburst, ranting about all the things that were wrong, he took note of them and stole an ice sculpture for the party, which made Angela feel touched. Andy felt as if that was a good start and asked Angela out, who declined. Soonafter, Andy serenaded Angela with "Take a Chance on Me." Angela walks away to clean up the party, but she is seen secretly smiling ("Launch Party").

In Money, Andy gave Angela a cat he found, claiming that it "came looking for her." Angela finally gave in and gave Andy permission to date her, under strict guidelines for types of restaurants.

At Toby's goodbye party, Andy trots up to Angela during Jim's fireworks display and proposes to her, the response being a weak but definite "Okay." It is soon apparent that  Angela was much more interested in her newly rekindled affair with Dwight than her upcoming wedding.

During Business Trip , Andy complains to a drunken Oscar that Angela hasn't yet had sex with him, which surprises Oscar. He immediately encourages Andy to call her to say "What's wrong with you?" Andy does so, and soon is back to "First Base" with Angela, which is only kissing her on the forehead.

Andy starts to pester Angela about their wedding, giving her ample options, all of which she shoots down promptly. Soon, Angela gives Andy requirements for their wedding that have to be met, all of which can be fulfilled by Schrute Farms. When Dwight takes them on a tour through his farm during The Surplus, he tricks Angela into marrying him under the pretense that they would be practicing the wedding. This infuriates Angela, who when she returns to the Office, kisses Andy on the lips passionately to spite Dwight.

All throughout Moroccan Christmas, Phyllis blackmails Angela to her breaking point. Angela refuses to obey Phyllis, who in turn, reveals her affair with Dwight. Andy, who is in another room, practicing a song, has no idea when he returns, and has no idea until The Duel. He challenges Dwight to a duel in the parking lot to determine who would continue dating Angela. During the duel, Dwight reveals that he had been sleeping with Angela, as well as vice versa. This breaks both of their hearts, and they both decide to dump Angela upon reeintering the workspace.

Season 9[]

In "Livin' the Dream", Angela goes and talks to Andy who has quit Dunder Mifflin to pursue his acting career. She tells him not to let pride ruin his whole life ( a reference to her predicament), which he misinterprets as her trying to get back with her and rejects her. Angela is disgusted, but she holds it back and shakes his hand to wish him good luck and bid him goodbye.

Status: Broken up

Wedding web site[]

NBC released a fake web site for Angela and Andy's wedding planning, created by Joya Balfour.[1]:32:31

The fake wedding registry itself contains jokes based on the fact that each item on the registry was clearly chosen by either Angela or Andy, sometimes directly contradicting each other, such as a karaoke machine and noise-cancelling headphones. Others show Angela's discomfort with intimacy, such as a bathroom door lock, opaque shower curtains, and a modesty dressing screen.
